Robe & Shirt, in nCloth

Here's a robe I simulated using Maya nCloth. The character rig is the Acme Rig v2.5.0, by Chris Caufield.

And here's a T-shirt...

video

I've applied the nCloth on Acme as he performs a simple walk cycle (2 cycles).
This is the best I could come up with, in almost 2 weeks. Maya nCloth is not easy, but fun to use (once you get the hang of it). More experimentation to follow...

Cloth ripping test

This is a test of Maya nCloth tearing, which I plan to use in my demo reel.
I'm still new to nCloth, so bear with me...

video
Simulating a cloth target getting torn by unseen bullets.

video
Simulating a slightly more rigid cloth getting perforated by buckshot.

video
Simulating a cloth being sliced.

Simulate a cloth being torn apart.

Neither vids have a high-res cloth geo.

My First Lip Sync

My First Lip Sync

video

This is my first lip sync assignment, from Iron Giant. I used Alfred again, using Maya 2008.

Alfred as The Joker

The Joker

We've all seen and enjoyed The Dark Knight, especially Heath Ledger's awesome turn as the Joker.

These pictures of Alfred are my tribute to Mr. Ledger...

Rest in peace, Heath... thanks for putting a ss-mile on my face-uh, with your performance.

Whyyy ssso serioussss-uh?

Animation - Acting & Dialogue

Acting & Dialogue

video

Here we have Alfred repeat Dan Ackroyd's dialogue from Ghostbusters, while facing the camera.

Kung Fu Alfred

video

One of my animations - I rotoscoped an existing stunt clip, using stock character rig Alfred (v1.2), made by Rodri Torres. Done in Maya 2008.
